Mrs. Bertha Ann Swihart, 89, died Saturday afternoon at her home at 1423 McVey. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wright Funeral Home in Meadville. Burial will be in the Meadville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 o’clock this evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Swihart was born March 13, 1897 in Carroll County Ark, a daughter of George Washington and Isabelle Drake Ash. She married Joshua S. Swihart August 19, 1917. She was a Jehovah Witness. Surviving are six daughters, Dicie May Weitzel and Ruth Adamcyzk, Chillicothe; Ruby Logan, Noble Okla.; Zana Bernice Price, Seattle, Wash.; Velma Retha Logan, Moore, Okla.; and Lovetta Carmetta Baker, Chillicothe; two sons, Loren (Abie) Swihart, Chillicothe and Cletus Swihart, Skokie, Ill.; a brother, Robert Ash, Springfield, Ill.; several grandchildren , great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Dec 15, 1962, two daughters, Lora Ellen Price and Yula Marie Wallace. Chillicothe Constitution Tribune January 5, 1987
