William H. Weitzel, Meadville resident, died late Wednesday(February 29, 1984)  at the Brookfield Nursing Home.  He was 82 and a retired truck mechanic for Churchill Trucklines.

 

Surviving are his wife, Dicy; three daughters, Mrs. Marshall (Dorothy) Cordray, Brookfield; Mrs. Daniel (Frances) Coberley, Chula; and Mrs. Dale (Gladys) Fisher, Hale; two sons, Robert C, Garden City Kan., and James, Colorado Springs, Colo; three brothers, John, Oneta N.Y., Bob, Honeybrook, Pa; and Thomas, Manheim, Pa; 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

 

Mr. Weitzel was born January 4, 1902 in Reading, Pa., a son of William and Ida Ann Tillman Weitzel. He married Dicy Mae Swihart March 16, 1929.

 

He was preceeded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, a grandson and a great grandson.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Weitzel will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Rex Leppin officiating. Burial will be in the Meadville Cemetery.

 

There will be no family visitation, but friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday. Memorials in Mr. Weitzel's name are suggested to the heart fund and may be left at the funeral home.
