Mrs. Helen M. Baker

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Helen May Baker, 61, who died Friday at Ellis-Fischell Hospital, Columbia, were at 2 p.m. today. The Rev. Donald Palmer officiated the services at the chapel of the Lindley Funeral Home. Organ selections of "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Rock of Ages" were played.

 

Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Leland Baker, Roy Akerson, David Baker, Jim Ralls, Chris Baker and Lawrence Ralls.

 

Mrs. Baker, a lifelong Chillicothe resident, was born Nov. 15, 1924 in Livingston County, a daughter of Walter and Pearl Collins Ralls. She married Everett Nathan Baker May 19, 1946. She was a member of the Chillicothe First Baptist Church, Women of the Moose Lodge 1289, St. Joseph and the Canasta Card Club.

 

Surviving are her husband of the home at 203 Polk; her mother Pearl Ralls, Chillicothe; four children, Nathan Leon (Butch) Baker, Chillicothe; Everett Carroll Baker, Macon, and Steven Baker and Lewis G. Baker, both of Chillicothe; two sisters, Virginia Ryrie and Joan Anderson, both of Chillicothe; brother, Walter (Bud) Ralls, Chillicothe; seven grandchildren; a great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, a sister and a brother.

 

Memorials may be made to Ellis-Fischell Hospital and may be left at the funeral home.
