Weitzel, Ida Fillman

Mrs. Ida F. Weitzel, 75, of Honey Brook, RD1, wife of the late William Weitzel, died Wednesday morning in Lancaster General Hospital. She had been in failing health for sometime.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Martha Fillman. She had resided in the Honey Brook area most of her life.

Surviving are five sons, William of Chillicothe, Mo.; John, of Oneonta, N. Y. ; Robert , Honey Brook;, Thomas, of Manheim, RD 3; and Euron, of East Earl RD 1; two daughters, Mae, wife of Roy Bolich, and Martha, wife of Merlo Paup, both of Pottstown; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Also two brothers, Samuel Fillman, of Reading; James Fillman, Pottstown, and a sister, Mrs. John Paup, Honey Brook RD1.

Funeral services will be held from Maclean’s Funeral Home, Pequea Avenue, Honey Brook, on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m. Internment will be in the St. Mark’s Episcopal Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday evening, 7 to 9 o’clock.
