Louis J. Ash, 62, Dies at Brookfield

 

Funeral services for Louis J. Ash, 62, were conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Hill Funeral Home in Brookfield by the Rev. Kenneth Kelley of Marceline.  Burial was in the Meadville cemetery.

 

Mr. Ash died Friday morning at his home at 209 South Caldwell in Brookfield.

 

Louis J. Ash, son of George W. and Isabelle Ash, was born Jan. 1, 1896 in Carroll County Arkansas.  He married Rose Farland, Oct. 8, 1921. Two children were born to the couple.   Mr. Ash, a veteran of World War 1, was a sand molder by trade.  For the last two years he made his home in Brookfield.

 

Surviving are his widow, Rose Ash of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Doris Korybyski; a son, Donald Ash, North Chicago, Ill.; his father, George W. Ash, Brookfield; three brothers, Wesley Ash, New York, N.Y.; Vernon Ash, Chicago, and Robert Ash, North Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Swihart, Meadville, and Mrs. Elsie Swihart, Chicago; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
