Marion F. Flemming, Jr., 61, of Zanesville, died at
1:35 p.m. Saturday, August 7, 2004, at the Bluffington
Regional Medical Center. Mr. Flemming
was a farmer and a truck driver and also worked for several years at Jet
Components in Bluffton where he served as president of the union. He was a 1961 graduate of West Rock Creek
High School and served in the United States Navy abourd
the USS Shasta from 1961-1964. Mr.
Flemming was born June 30, 1943 in Van Buren, Indiana, a son of Marion F. and
Virginia M. McDonald Flemming, Sr. He
was united in marriage to Virginia Christine Bogan on
June 3, 1967 in Speedway Indiana. His
wife survives. Additional survivors include: one daughter, Janelle Harrison of
Zanesville; two grandsons, Tyler and Blake Harrison of Zanesville; three
brothers, Terry Flemming, of Marion, IN, Richard Flemming of Van Buren, IN, and
John Flemming of Warren IN; and eight sisters, Carlotta Tackett of Claypool IN,
Linda Flemming of Muncie, IN, Vianna Johnson of
Huntington, Wanda Hinen of Fort Wayne, Cornelia
Johnson of Port Charles, FL, Patty Whitney of Huntington, Mary Randall of
Huntington and Phyllis Herring of Huntington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jason Francis
Flemming. Visitation will be held on
Tuesday, August 10, 2004 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Myers Funeral home,
Huntington Chapel 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington Indiana. Funeral services
will be held on Wednesday August 11, 2004 at 10:00 AM at the Myers Funeral
Home, Huntington Chapel with Pastor Andy Martin officiating. Preferred memorial can be made to the Wells
County Health Care or Disabled Veterans Association, in care of the Myers
Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
