Mary E. Swihart Obituary

 

Mary Edith Swihart, passed away February 4, 1998, at the Truman Lake Manor in Lowry City, MO.  Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 7, at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel, Osceola, MO; burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, MO.  The family will receive friends 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

 

Mrs. Swihart was born March 5, 1911, in Carthage, MO., to Clark Conley and Margaret Davis McKnight. She was an office worker for Utility Village for 35 years.  Mary loved music and was an accomplished pianist and was in the choir of Unity Temple on the Plaza.  On May 10, 1932, Mary was united in marriage to Flash Homan.  Two children were born to that union.  On July 1, 1961 Mary was united in marriage to Lester Swihart. They lived in Grandview and Carrollton MO.  Lester preceded her in death in October 1994. She was also preceded in death by a brother France McKnight and a son Reber Homan.  Mary is survived by one daughter, Lois Kneller, Lowry City, MO; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.  Arrangements:  Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola, MO.)
