Milford Tilman Baker Obituary

 

Milford Tilman Baker, 55, died Sunday at noon at Livingston Manor.  He had been in failing health 1 1/2 years and serious six weeks.

 

He was born in Livingston County Nov. 10, 1919, the son of William Edward and Pearl Williams Baker.  He attended school in Livingston County and was a World War II veteran.  April 23, 1955, he married Alma Stephens in Livingston County.  He was a life long resident of this area and was a maintenance operator for the city of Chillicothe.  He was a member of the Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include his wife of the home at 100 St. Paul; his parents, RFD 5; two children, Vickie and Terry, of the home; a step-daughter, Sharon Riggle, Chillicothe; a brother Buel Baker, Chillicothe; two sisters, Mrs. Betty O'Dell, Chillicothe and Mrs. Vivian Bryson, Diamond Bar, Calif.; and a grandchild.

 

He was preceded in death by a child, brother and sister.

 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the chapel of the Normal Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Cox officiating.

 

Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

 

The casket will be closed at 1:55 and not reopened.
