Mrs. Rowenia M. Swihart Obituary

 

Mrs. Rowenia Mary Swihart, 72, Braymer, Mo., formerly of Kansas City, died Monday in a nursing home in Braymer. She was born in the Quindaro community in Kansas City, Kan., and had also lived in Kansas City, North; Grain Valley; and Chillicothe, Mo., before she moved to Braymer 10 months ago.  Mrs. Swihart was a member of the First Christian Church of Grain Valley. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Chillicothe.  Her husband Marion V. Swihart, died in 1947.  She leaves three daughters, Mrs. L. Delores Figg, Norborne, Mo., Mrs. Leona E. M. Taylor, Excelsior Springs, and Mrs. Mary E. Clements, Warrensburg, Mo.; two brothers, George A. Riley, Edgerton in Johnson County, and Leonard H. Riley, Kansas City; four sisters, Mrs. Armedia Sutton, Rocheport, Mo., Mrs. Virginia Morrow, Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. Estelle Behun, Campbell, Ohio, and Mrs. Geraldine Hansen, Ottumwa, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Michael Chapel, Braymer; burial in the Wheeling (Mo.) Cemetery.
