Ex.-State Professor Dies at 50
Mrs. Ruth
Flemming Winowich, 50, of 2003 Huber Rd,
an assistant professor of English at West Virginia State College for 17 years,
died Thursday in General Division, Charleston
Area Medical Center,
after a long illness. Mrs.Winowich, the wife of the Kanawha
County library director, Nicholas
Winowich, was a resident of Charleston
for the past 21 years. She was a member
of the First Christian Church.
In addition to
her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Ellen Radtke, of Scarbro, sons,
Nicholas M and David Allan, both at home, mother, Mrs. Hazel Flemming of
Uniontown Pa, brothers, Milo and Ralph Flemming, both of Columbus Ohio, Roy
Flemming of Ft. Dix, N.J.
Service will be
2 p.m. Saturday in First Christian
Church, with the Rev John O. Atkins officiating. Friends may call at Barlow- Bonsall Funeral home from 2
to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
In lieu of
flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the West Virginia State
College Foundation Institute
